Finding your life purpose is not as hard as most people think it is. It’s quite easy actually, once you clear away all of the pre-conceived ideas you are programmed with from society. It is not about your job or you daily responsibilities such as being a good parent, a good friend, or a good person. Who doesn’t want to be all of those? Finding your life purpose is about much more than that. It’s about finding your passion, what fills you with enthusiasm. It’s about finding the real reason why you’re here – the reason for your existence.

When Bruce Lee was asked by a master martial artist to teach him everything Bruce knew about martial arts. Bruce held up two cups filled with liquid. “The first cup” he said “represents all of your knowledge about martial arts. If you want to fill your cup with my knowledge, you must first empty your cup of your knowledge.” Similarly if you want to find your true purpose in life you must first empty your mind of all the false purposes you’ve been taught.

In this article I will share a very quick and easy technique I learned. If you use this technique you will have no problem finding your life purpose. But first you must clear all the noise and static that keeps you from “hearing” that voice within your heart. Because when it comes to finding your life purpose the only person you need to consult is you. While it can be beneficial to consult outside sources and get others advice, the problem is that advice can lead you astray. People don’t necessarily mean to lead you in the wrong direction but we are all bombarded with so many opinions and ideas about how or what we should be doing that we become desensitized to the voice of our heart.

One of the most important things you can do is to start listening to yourself and one of the easiest ways to do this is to write. Here is the simple technique I learned and it will work for you. The more open you are to the process and expect it to work the faster it will work for you. Even if you are not completely open to it but stick with it, it will still work. Here’s what you need to do:

- Get a blank sheet of paper, or you can use a word processor (I prefer paper).

- At the top write “what is my true purpose in life”

- Write down any answer that comes to mind. Complete sentences are not necessary, short phrases are fine.

- Keep repeating step three until you write an answer that brings tears to your eyes. This is your true purpose.

That’s it, finding your life purpose is as simple as that. Your first few answers will most likely be things that come from your mind. These are things that are influenced on you by society. As you keep writing eventually you will find the answer that comes from your heart and there will be no mistaking it. Form some people who are in tune with their inner self this may only take 20-30 minutes. For others who are very closed minded it can take an hour or longer, but it works for everyone.

So give yourself some time to find out the answer to one of life’s most important questions.

Meditation is one of the most important skills you can learn to manage your stress level, decrease anxiety, and improve you confidence and will power. Meditation also has many more spiritual benefits that go well beyond the above but those are just some of the benefits you can achieve from it. If you are serious about learning meditation then you will need to make a daily commitment to it. It is not complicated but like any new habit it does require a commitment. You most likely want to see results as soon as possible. Well you can. You can well on your way to meditate like a master in 30 days provided you follow the specific steps listed below.

Your daily plan to meditate like a master in 30 days.

Days 1-5

In the first five days you are going to simply spend time observing and becoming aware of your thoughts. You will just need a quiet place to sit, either on the floor or in a chair. You should maintain good posture. You should be comfortable but not slouched. You will want to just sit quietly and observe your thoughts. Do not try to control them or become too concentrated on any one of them. Just let them come and go freely. This is the first stage in developing the skill of meditation. There is no time limit. You can start with as little as 5 minutes. Eventually you will want to get to at least 15-30 mins of practice daily and you will be well on your way to learn to meditate like a master.

Days 6-10

During the second five days you are going to be training your mind to go deeper into your subconscious. During this stage you will train your body to go into a hypnotic state, which is just between sleeping and dreaming. To do this you may want to lie down on your back and hold one of your arms at a 90 degree angle. This way if you start to fall asleep (which is ok) your arm will fall and wake you up. During this stage you will continue to observe your thoughts as you did in the first five days. You will want to try to do this for at least 10-15 minutes at a time. None if these steps are hard to learn but they are essential if you want to learn to meditate like a master.

Days 11-20

During the next five days of learning how to meditate like a master you are going to start weeding some of the random thoughts out of your head. An easy way to do this is to simply allow the thought to come and acknowledge it out loud like so:

“I’m thinking about paying my bills”

“I’m thinking about cleaning the house”

“I’m thinking about what I’m going to do this weekend”

Another way of looking at this is to hold an object in your hand (for ex a pen or pencil). Notice how the object feels in your hand. Notice its’ texture and weight. Then simply open your hand and drop it. Your thoughts are the same way. They are not attached to you. You can drop them just as easily, it’s a matter of letting go. The more you do this the more you will find that your thoughts quickly vanish from your consciousness.

Days 21-30

In the final stage of learning how to meditate like a master, you are going to be refining the skills you learned in the previous stages. You will continue to refine the skill of staying in the hypnotic state and clear your mind of any thoughts that come into it. The goal in this stage is to be in a state of peace and calm in body, mind, and spirit. This does not mean you will not have any more thoughts coming in to your mind, they will. It just means you will keep using the steps in the previous days to clear them out by acknowledging them and letting them go. By the end of this stage you will be well on your way to mastering the skill of meditation. You will start to see and feel the results in the way of better sleep, lower stress, and better concentration.

So by starting to practice these steps today, in just 30 days you’ll have learned the valuable skill of learning how to meditate like a master.

Welcome to your best self. There is so much negative information coming at us from all types of media. I’ve set up this website to counteract that and share some positive and uplifting things.

There is so much information available on Personal and spiritual growth. Anyone who’s is looking to achieve any goals in this area can do so easily. Most people who are interested in personal and spiritual growth are consistently searching for ways to stimulate their growth. This is a lifelong journey. It is one of the most rewarding things which you can focus your attention on. It will help you gain confidence and achieve your goals.

I would like to share these 5 easy tips that you can use for your personal and spiritual growth to make daily changes in your life. Remember small steps lead to big changes.

Don’t Assume You Know Everything

Humility: it is the first and probably the most important personal and spiritual growth habit. One of the first signs that your personal growth has stagnated is believing that you “already know enough”. Those who always believe they still have a lot to learn compared to what they already know are the ones who grow the most personally and spiritually. Be humble and open to all experiences of learning and growth.

Be Optimistic and Take Action

Nowadays there is so much talk in the realm of personal development about positive thinking and optimism. While I am a firm believer in both, they have to coupled with taking action. That is one of the important aspects people often leave out. Positive thinking alone will not get you the results you desire. You have to take some sort of action towards those results. If you practice positive affirmations or meditation and couple that with taking action consistently then you can achieve any result you desire.

Find Meaning and Guidance in Nature

There are so many books written about personal and spiritual growth but the most thought provoking elements are contained within nature. As writer C.S. Lewis once stated that he believed the majority of people’s problems are caused by the fact that they are so disconnected with the rest of creation. Think about this with respect to your own life. How much time do you spend outdoors in the amazing works of nature? Compare that with how much time you spend indoors surrounded by man-made things.

When you start spending more time outside studying the way things work in nature, you’ll find and abundance of lessons that you can use for your own growth

Treat Your Body Like a Temple

This is a very easy principle to understand. Just think if your body is out of shape you barely have enough energy and focus to perform the mundane tasks of life. On the other hand if your body is healthy you have much more energy and the ability to focus for long periods of time. That makes it much easier to focus your attention on your personal and spiritual growth. This does not mean you have go out and run a marathon (only if you want to). It just means be mindful of what you nourish your body with. Give it good things to replenish its cells. Your body was not designed to be sedentary, it was designed to move. So get moving, even if that means taking a short walk everyday to start.

Have a Purpose or Goal

It is very important to have a central purpose in life. Personal and spiritual growth is one of the most rewarding things in life, but without a central purpose toward which to apply it one can get stuck in the trap of personal development for personal development’s sake. Having a purpose also gives you the energy and focus to keep going even when things seem hopeless.

Hence, those are my 5 tips for personal and spiritual growth. My sincerest wish is that you find them helpful and can start applying them to your life. We are all on this journey together. Much success!

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industrys standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
